Intro to IDPA Class - April 27, 2024

This course is the perfect starting point for experienced pistol shooters with safe and solid basic skills who would like to get started with competitive IDPA sport shooting.
Students attending this class will receive a thorough introduction into the world of dynamic sports shooting, the basic rules of IDPA competition, and the skills required to
confidently and successfully compete in their first match.
At the end of this class, you will have a basic understanding of, and the ability to apply, the rules of the sport. discover how certain shooting techniques can be effective for
you and you will pass the IDPA classification in your division of choice.
Topics that will be covered
• IDPA rules and their practical application
• Drawing and holstering with concealment
• Shooting and hitting from cover
• Shooting and hitting while moving
• Other important techniques
• Example stages (if time permits)
THIS COURSE IS LIMITED TO 20 PARTICIPANTS
What to Bring to Class
• Eye and ear protection
• Safe and fit for use personal pistol
• Secure belt and holster
• Minimum 2 spare magazines and pouches
• Concealment garment
• Eye and Ear protection
• Shoes – No open toed shoes
• Approximately 200 rounds
The class is rain or shine please dress for the weather, we will be inside the classroom for a while and then out of the range. It is recommended to dress in layers.
